Our Story

Lunael was born in a condo room in Canada, built by one person who couldn't stop thinking about jewellery.

I'm a final-year healthcare student. Jewellery has nothing to do with my degree, and everything to do with me. From the creatives to the imagery to the words you're reading right now, every part of Lunael is made by hand, by me, between lectures and shifts.

Where It Began

My roots are in India, where I grew up surrounded by real jewellery. Not costume pieces, not something that turns your skin green after a week, but genuine silver and gold, worn every single day. Jewellery wasn't saved for special occasions. It was simply part of how you got dressed.

When I came to Canada, I noticed something missing.

The Gap

Real 925 sterling silver here is expensive, and too often the designs feel like an afterthought. Gold has become so costly that owning a piece feels out of reach for most people. And as a student myself, I kept thinking about people my age who want beautiful, real jewellery but simply can't justify the price of fine jewellery.

So the choice became: pay far too much, or settle for something that isn't real.

I didn't think that was much of a choice.

What We Make

Lunael is demi-fine jewellery. That means real precious metals, at prices that make sense.

Every piece is crafted from 925 sterling silver or gold vermeil, which is several microns of 14k or 18k gold bonded over a sterling silver base. Not plated brass. Not steel. Real metal, all the way through.

Demi-fine sits in the space that was missing. It's the honest middle ground between costume jewellery that doesn't last and fine jewellery that costs more than most of us can spend. Pieces designed to be layered, stacked, and worn every day, the way jewellery was always meant to be worn.

Why It Matters

I believe you shouldn't have to choose between real and affordable. You shouldn't have to save for months to own something genuine. And you certainly shouldn't have to settle for design that feels like nobody cared.

Lunael exists to close that gap. A little luxury, made real, made for every day.
